A Relationship in my Head

I am living a relationship in my head
And I am scared how it will fair
when face to face with reality
If it is ever that is
face to face
with reality

And then I think if anyone anywhere
lives anything "outside" their head?
If the couple that fights lives 'reality'?
If the couple that loves - lives 'reality'?

What is real for me is in my head
I can touch it, feel it, smell it there
I can talk to it and it talks back to me sometimes

And if I try and walk away
from this relationship in my head
I feel lonely!
